In this video, smoody takes us on a walkaround of his newly completed (is a race car ever completed though…) Rocketbunny R32 Skyline.
The build features a host of JDM goodies, including the most obvious, a whopping wide body kit and 59 degrees north wheels.
A little walkaround before the full featuring video.
Reasoning behind why most of us heavily modify production sports cars, is because from factory they are designed to be good ‘all-rounders.’ We build these cars to put a little more of “us” into them in order to gain more of what we love. With cars like these we sacrificing parts and creature comforts we don’t use as frequently or care about (who even uses air con while racing anyway…).
The thing is, when you go hardcore with your modifications (and let’s face it, many of us at least intend to) our vehicles may become amazing at one thing but abysmal at everything else. This might apply to anything – a track car, a drag car, a show car, or a drift weapon.
Choose for yourself! Do what you think is cool and F*** the haters!
Most people would agree that when you go fully crazy with your pride and joy, it’ll only be good at one of the above and compromise with everything else.
Bridging the gap between show car and track car is the RB32, practicality is well out the window in this build, well and truly sacrificing the ability to get into the thing in carparks, and general creature comforts.
Id go as far as saying not all show cars are track cars, but all track cars can be appreciated when at a show!
These cars may be in the borderline between polished and turd… dont expect immaculate bodywork when chasing down porsche’s and the track favourite M3’s, expect stone chipped and brake dust galore!
